BREAKING: Ramadan Fast Continues As Muslims Yet To Sight Moon

The Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) has directed muslims in the country to continue with the Ramadan fast on Saturday.

The council made the announcement on Friday as its National Moonsighting Committee did not sight the moon to indicate the end of the Ramadan fast.

The council tweeted Friday: “There was no positive sighting report of the Shawwal crescent in Nigeria, tomorrow is 30th Ramadan. An official statement from the Sultanate will be released shortly.”

This means Muslims in the country would not be celebrating the Eid-el-Fitri on Saturday as planned.
