Sule Ya’u Sule, Media Aide to the former governor, who confirmed the development, said Shakarau met with Kano State governor, Umar Ganduje, in Abuja, on Monday, to conclude plans on his return to the APC.

Sule further explained that a heated debate between his principal and his supporters, was the last straw in a series of unpleasant events that propelled Shakarau’s decision to dump the PDP.

According to him, it was not possible for Shekarau to remain in the PDP as it dances to the tune of Rabi’u Kwankwaso, a former governor of the state.

“I want confirm to you that Shekarau has decided to defect from PDP to APC due to the injustice meted on him and his supporters by the PDP leadership,” Sule was quoted as saying by Daily Trust.
