China Parliament Sits Fully Packed, No Social Distancing
China’s Parliament, the National People’s Congress ( NPC) on Friday, held the
third session of its 13th National Congress.
THE WHISTLER followed the session live on China Daily, and observed lawmakers sitting on each chair across the rows.

While some wore facemasks, others did not.
Premier Li Keqiang , who gave a speech on Government efforts, stressed that the country was emerging stronger despite the problems caused by the covid-19 pandemic.
“We are ready to overturn all challenges before us,” he said.
Recall that the World Health Organization had lauded China for effectively containing covid-19 in their country.

China’s leader, Xi Jumping, had also said at a World Health Assembly convened virtually by WHO, that the country had phased out Coronavirus and was willing to help other countries out.
