Coronavirus: Oluwo Says Visitors No Longer Welcome In His Palace

Ọba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, the Oluwo of Iwo, Osun State, has advised anyone planning to visit him to drop such intention for now, until after the Coronavirus pandemic is over.

The controversial monarch also advised visitors who intend to bring him gifts to keep their gifts until it is safe to interact with visitors again.

Oba Akanbi, who was reacting to the ban on large gatherings by the federal government and the advisory on keeping safe by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, also urged Nigerians to heed medical advice and try to be safe during this trying time.

In a video message he sent to the BBC Yoruba, the Oluwo also advised Muslims and Christians not to go for their regular Friday and Sunday services to avoid getting infection.
