COVID-19: Idris Elba’s Wife Tests Positive, Says Staying Away From Actor Difficult

Sabrina Dhowre, wife of British actor, Idris Elba, has tested positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19) – less than a week after her husband was diagnosed with the virus.

Elba had on March 16 shared a video on his social media pages, announcing that he had tested positive for COVID-19.

Sabriba was seen standing beside her husband while he announced his status in the video.

The 29-year-old revealed her COVID-19 positive status in an interview with Oprah Winfrey.

She said it was difficult staying away from her husband after it was confirmed that he had the virus.

“As soon as I heard that Idris was potentially exposed. I was on my way anyway and I wanted to be with him, I think that’s an instinct as a wife you just want to go and take care.

“We didn’t change the way we interacted. I could have made a decision to put myself in a separate room or maybe stay away and I’m sure people are making those decisions, they’re tough decisions to make. But I made the decision to want to be with him and still touch him,” she said.

Meanwhile, 47-year-old Elba had while announcing his status assured his fans that he was fine and stable.

“I feel ok, I have no symptoms so far but have been isolated since I found out about my possible exposure to the virus,” he had said, adding, “Stay home people and be pragmatic. I will keep you updated on how I’m doing. No panic.”
