Covid-19: Nigerians Rush To Buy Hand Sanitisers

After the official confirmation of the first case of Coronavirus in Nigeria, Nigerians, especially Lagosians are not leaving anything to chance.

An Italian working in Nigeria tested positive in Lagos on Friday, sparking fears of a spread in Nigeria.

A twitter user, Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu, a Nigerian lawyer and media personality, went out to buy hand sanitizers at a Lagos store and found they were sold out.

He said as of 9:05 a.m. when he visited the Ebeano Supermarket, Lekki, the store had run out of the product.

COVID-2019 is an infectious disease that first broke out in Wuhan China and has spread to over 25 countries.

As of February 23, 2020, coronavirus deaths had hit 2,442 in China with the total number of confirmed cases in the country pegged at 76,936.
