COVID-19: We Have Capacity To Test 15,000 People Daily – PTF

Nigeria currently has the capacity to test 15,000 persons for COVID-19 on a daily basis, the Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha has said.

Mustapha stated this on Thursday at the task force’s briefing on COVID-19 in Abuja.

He said though the country had the capacity to test that much, it could only test 3,000 because many Nigerians were not coming for testing.

The PTF chairman, who is also the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, further called on the “few non-conforming youths to join the fight against the virus.”

He lamented that the biggest challenge facing the task force remained the attitude of Nigerians, adding that “otherwise we would have dealt with the pandemic.”

He further disclosed that Germany had donated €54, 000 worth of Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the country.
