COVID-19: We’re Not Out Of The Woods Yet, Adeboye Says In Easter Message

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has cautioned the federal and state governments against lowering their guards as the fight against Coronavirus (COVID-19) was not yet over.

Adeboye issued the caution in his Easter Sunday sermon titled “A New Beginning” which was broadcast live via RCCG’s Dove TV cable channel on Sunday.

The cleric who noted that God was in control of the COVID-19 pandemic, cautioned that it would be too soon for the federal and state governments to relax in their fight against the virus.

“I want to bring good news to someone. I want to tell you my God is not dead; He is alive. Not only is He alive, but He is also in control.

“If you have any doubt at all, the situation in the recent past should show you clearly that He is in control.

“I want to also advise that we remain on our guard.

“It will be unwise to relax too soon. And when I say relax, I am not talking about being anxious, I’m talking about becoming careless.

“We are not out of the woods yet but we will be. And it won’t be too long but until the whole world has had a compulsory holiday,” he said.

Adeboye’s caution came against the backdrop of the recent lifting of the ban on religious gatherings by some states in the country.
