Davido Asked To Retake Coronavirus Test After Gov Makinde Tested Positive

Nigerian twitter users have advised singer Davido to retake a Coronavirus (COVID-19) test following reports that Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State had tested positive for the virus.

Davido, who had met with Makinde at the governor’s residence about a week ago, had recently announced that he took a COVID-19 test which returned negative.

The singer however said his fiancée and mother of his son, Chioma, had tested positive for the virus.

Following Governor Makinde’s announcement on Monday that he had tested positive for COVID-19, some twitter users held the opinion that Davido should retake a second test for the virus to be sure he had not contracted the disease.

It's very possible Davido hasn't been infected even after Chioma and Seyi Makinde has been tested positive. Why you lots jumping into conclusion and spreading fake news? It's irritating tbh.

Where Seyi Makinde got the virus from hasn’t been confirmed.
It could be from the Governor’s meeting, PDP Rally or his recent meeting with Davido.

Y’all should calm down with the blame game and rumors. What we need now is a way forward not unnecessary accusation.
