Delta To Isolate Residents Not Wearing Face Mask In Public

The Delta State Government has announced that any citizen or resident that is found in public without a face mask will be confined in one of the isolation centres in the state.

The state’s Commissioner for Information, Charles Aniagwu, disclosed this on Facebook.

According to him, the new directive followed a meeting of the Technical Committee for the Prevention of #Covid19 in Delta.

He stressed that the protection of Deltans from Covid-19 was non-negotiable.

“We have the responsibility to protect our people; use of face masks which must be worn properly to cover the mouth and nose must be implemented,” the commissioner said.

Health authorities had recommended face masks, among other things, as part of measures geared towards limiting the spread of covid-19.
