Dino Melaye’s Brother Contradicts Police Over ‘Kidnap’ Saga

Contrary to the claim by the Nigeria Police that they weren’t informed of the alleged abduction of Kogi West Senator, Dino Melaye, a handwritten statement to the Force by the lawmaker’s younger brother has proven otherwise.

Recall that the Police PRO, Mr Jimoh Moshood, had in reaction to the abduction that reportedly occurred around Gwagwalada in Abuja on Thursday, said the Force did not receive any complaint concerning the kidnap “in any of its Police Stations or Divisions throughout the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) or any other State of the Federation…”

But the statement below, said to have been written by Senator Melaye’s younger brother, Moses Melaye, shows that the police were duly informed of the senator’s alleged abduction.

Moses Melaye specifically told THE WHISTLER in a phone interview that he made the statement at the Police Divisional Office in Gwagwalad, Abuja, on July 26, 2018.
