Don’t Vote Buhari, He’ll Make $1 Exchange For N1,000, Group Warns Nigerians

Re-electing President Muhammadu Buhari in the February 16 presidential election would lead to “one USA dollar exchanging for N1, 000” in no distant time, warned a socio-political group on Tuesday.

The Southern Nigeria People’s Mandate (SNPM) said unless Nigerians want to experience another round of blame game in the next administration, they must ensure President Buhari does not return as the country’s president in the coming elections.

Speaking in a statement by its president, Augustine Chukwudum, the group said it is disappointing that the only thing the Buhari administration could allegedly campaign on after close to four years in office is the shifting of blame to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

“Everybody knows that the PDP-led federal government failed Nigerian masses despite all the billions of dollars generated from oil. The PDP-led federal government has nothing to show for the oil boom and failed to impact positively on the lives of Nigerians,” said Chukwudum.

“We wish to remind President Buhari that while he was campaigning ahead of the 2015 presidential election, he promised to better the lives of the suffering masses; he never promised us hell as we all are seeing today.

“Today, the majority of Nigerians go to bed on empty stomach, yet, all our president is telling us is that he knows our suffering and not doing anything to alleviate them.

“Today, Nigerians are wondering whether Buhari is in charge or a cabal is controlling the government. A lot has been said by Buhari but nothing has changed.

“Instead, we are moving from the frying pan to fire. Price of goods are sky-rocketing on daily basis and our economy is now out of control and very soon one USA dollar will be exchanging for N1,000 if President Buhari is re-elected for the second term,” said the group.
