DSS Interrogation: Oshiomhole Tells Own Side Of The Story

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, has told his own side of the story that he was allegedly arrested and detained by the Department of State Services (DSS) last week.

Oshiomhole said contrary to reports that he was arrested and detained, he was rather invited last Sunday by the DSS to answer to certain questions.

Speaking to journalists in Lagos on Saturday, the APC Chairman said,“ Our conversation centered around APC primaries. The question now is whether or not it is the DSS job to interfere in a political party’s issues. And if there’s an allegation of corruption, it is the responsibility of EFCC and ICPC.”

Oshiomhole equally refuted reports that the DSS had asked him to resign as the ruling party’s chairman over allegations that he took bribe during the party’s primary elections.

Meanwhile, several reports had earlier suggested that Oshiomhole’s recent trip to London was in connection with his interrogation by operatives of the Service.

But the APC Chairman who returned to Nigeria on Friday revealed that he had visited his wife and the APC National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, in the United States and United Kingdom respectively.

Oshiomhole also dismissed reports that he has been scheduled for another round of grilling by the DSS now that he is back.
