Easter: Anambra NSCDC Warns Against Violation of Restriction Orders

Ahead of the Easter celebrations, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Anambra State Command, has assured the residents of the state of adequate security of lives and property.

To this end, the state commandant of the corps, David Bille, has ordered the deployment of officers and men covering all the nooks and crannies of the state with immediate effect.

According to a release by the command’s public relations officer, Edwin Okadigbo, the corps appealed to the residents of the state to comport themselves in civilized manner during this period while observing the sit-at-home directives, restriction of social gatherings, and apply precautionary measures against the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.

The release read, “The command remains focused and resolute in providing quality security services that will enhance the quality of lives of Ndi Anambra in a conducive atmosphere . As we celebrate, Ndi Anambra should use this period to reflect and pray for God’s interventions and an end to the deadly pandemic ravaging the world. It is indeed a season of sober reflections and re- dedication to service to God and love for one another even as we look forward to seeing the end of the COVID-19 in and around the world.”

Bille, in the statement, enjoined the residents to remain law-abiding, and support the command and other sister security agencies by reporting any suspected persons or movements to the nearest NSCDC formation or promptly contacting it on 07038924664, 08058922941, 08036011552 or 08035771835 for emergencies.
