Edo Decides: INEC Begins Announcement Of Results
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is currently announcing the Edo State governorship election result at its secretariat in the state.
The announcement was earlier delayed as the commission awaited results from eight Local Government Areas before it commenced the announcement.
A total of 18 local governments of Edo State participated in the long awaited elections, which finally took place, yesterday, Wednesday.

The result is expected to be a two-horse race between the candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Godwin Obaseki, and Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
Meanwhile, it was learnt that hoodlums snatched ballot boxes and disrupted the governorship polls in some communities in the northern parts of Edo state despite the tight security in the state.
