Election: Atiku Calls World Press Conference As Buhari Receives Certificate Of Return

The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, will address a world press conference today, Wednesday, on his rejection of the 2019 presidential election result.

Atiku, who came second by polling 11.2 million votes in the election, had issued a statement earlier today to oppose President Buhari’s victory.

Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 15.1 million votes to defeat the PDP presidential candidate, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

While the President is currently at the International Conference Centre (ICC) to receive his certificate of return, Alhaji Atiku will be addressing Nigerians on the elections by 4 p.m at Musa Yar’adua Centre in Abuja.

Col Austin Akobundu (rtd), the National Organizing Secretary of the PDP presidential campaign organisation, made this known to newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday.
