EndSARS: Abia Gov Declares Tuesday Public Holiday For Clean Up Of State

In view of the wanton destruction of property and other infrastructure during the ENDSARS protests, Abia State Governor, Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, has declared Tuesday October 27 a public holiday for general cleaning of the major cities of Aba and Umuahia from 8.00am to 3:00pm.

Abia State Environmental Protection Agency (ASEPA) and all ASEPA staff are to fully mobilize and deploy every equipment.

The announcement requires all Abians to come out with brooms, packers, bin bags and join in the clean up exercise.

Takeoff point for Aba will be ASEPA office, opposite NEPA, Aba while takeoff for Umuahia will be from School Road Primary School, Umuahia.

Consequently, the Governor declared Tuesday 27th day of October, 2020 a public holiday to enable everyone to participate in the clean up exercise.
