#EndSars: Hilda Dokubo Joins Mothers’ Protest In Port Harcourt

Mothers in Port Harcourt have gathered this morning for a protest against police brutality and bad governance.

They converged at the UTC Junction along Azikwe Road Port Harcourt where the March took- off with large turn out.

The women marched to the Rivers State House of Assembly Complex in Port Harcourt, demand an end to all forms of police brutality and called for Justice for victims of extra judicial killing.

According to one of their leaders, Mrs. Florence Innocent, who spoke to THE WHISTLER, “We intend continuing this protest until our demands are meant.

“We have formed this formidable force to ensure that the killers of our children are brought to book and dealt with accordingly.

“From here, we are matching to the government house and we intend speaking to the governor so he will understand our pains and swing into action to ensure our voices are heard.”

Veteran actress, Hilda Dokubo, who also joined the protest, spoke to the women thus: “I am a woman and a mother, I understand the pains of losing a child to police brutality and incessant killing.

” They have already done us more harm than good all in the name of protecting us. Enough is enough.

“We are going to continue until our voices are heard and our demands meant.”
