Fayose Confirms Receipt Of N4.7bn Paris Club Refund

Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has confirmed receiving N4.7 billion as Paris Club refund from the Federal Government.

Fayose, who took to his Facebook to confirm the receipt, said Ekiti received “a total sum of N4,772,836,647.08” which will “be shared between the State and the Local Government.”

The governor said he will soon be meeting with Teachers, Local Government workers, the Nigeria Labour Congress, and Civil Servants in the state to deliberate on how the money will be shared.

While Abia got N5.715 billion, Oyo State has released a statement saying it was yet to receive credit alert for its second tranche of the Paris Club refund.

“We have not yet received the second tranche of the Paris Club refund. The fund has not yet hit account and we are expecting it. But, we have it on good authority that the payment process has been activated,” said Mr Toye Arulogun, the State Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism.
