FCT NSCDC Boss Tasks Area Commanders On Intelligence Gathering

The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command, Olusola Odumosu, has tasked all the Area Commanders and Divisional Officers on the urgent need to end the current threats to security in the FCT.

He gave the charge during an emergency meeting with Area Commanders and Divisional Officers at the Command headquarters, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja.

In a bid to address the rising concerns over security in FCT, Odumosu emphasised the urgent need for action,and urged the officers to take proactive steps in ensuring the safety and security of residents.

He stressed the importance of engaging with the community and various stakeholders to yield desired results in maintaining peace and order.

Odumosu expressed concern over the current state of insecurity, and called for a shift from reactive to proactive measures.

He mphasized the role of intelligence gathering in preventing security threats and challenged the officers to actively seek grassroots intelligence and discharge their duties effectively.

He further instructed the Area Commanders and Divisional Officers to provide daily intelligence and situation reports to aid in the fight against crime in different parts of the FCT.

The NSCDC Boss emphasised that their continued stay in office would be contingent upon their performance in addressing the security challenges.
