FCT Police Confirm Abduction Of Politicians In Kuje
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the abduction of an unverified number of persons in Kuje, Abuja, among which are politicians in the area.
The FCT Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) ASP Yusuf Mariam in a statement on Sunday noted that efforts were being put in place to rescue the victims.

The incident reportedly happened about 6:00 pm on Saturday ‘when people were returning home after going to congratulate the new Education Secretary of the council, Mr Yunusa Zakari,” THE NATION reported.
Among the victims is a former Vice Chairman of the council Mohammed Baba, and some council members.
The gunmen reportedly hijacked the vehicle conveying the victims and carried them through the bushes in the area.
Recall that the website reported similar incident when gunmen invaded Tunga Maje Community in Abuja and abducted five persons.

The police however disclosed that victims were eventually released.
