At the ongoing briefing which began at about 11 a.m. at the federal secretariat, Abuja, Keyamo would also explain how the federal government intends to execute the programme.

President Buhari had approved the initiative to help cushion the effect of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic on Nigerians.

The Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed, had announced in April that the president had approved N60 billion for allowances and operational cost for the initiative.

Ahmed had said 1,000 Nigerians would be engaged from each of the 774 local government areas in the country.
