FG Confirms Arrest Of Lebanese Who Tried Selling Nigerian Girl On Social Media

The Chairman of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM), Abike Dabiri Erewa, has confirmed the arrest of a Lebanese, Wael Jerro, who offered a Nigerian lady for sale on Facebook.

She tweeted about this on Thursday, adding that the Lebanese government had apprehended him and would face charges bordering on human trafficking.

According to NIDCOM, the girl in question hailed from Ibadan, Oyo State.

“The Nigerian mission in Lebanon has also demanded for an immediate handover of the victim to the mission unconditionally and in good health,” according to the NIDCOM statement.
