Fr Mbaka ‘Moots’ Orji Kalu’s Presidency

The spiritual director of the Adoration Ministries, Enugu, the Revd Fr Ejike Mbaka, has likened the release of former Abia State governor, Orji Uzor Kalu, from the custody of the Nigerian Correctional Centre to the biblical Joseph. According to Mbaka, Kalu’s freedom after conviction was akin to the experiences of former president Olusegun Obasanjo, who from detention became president of Nigeria.

The Catholic priest stated this on Thursday during the 25th anniversary of his priestly ordination held in Enugu. While explaining how many Nigerian prisoners overcame their ordeals, with some becoming ‘kings’, Fr Mbaka said Orji Uzor Kalu’s imprisonment would bring him and Nigeria good fortunes.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abia State chapter, says the recent return of former governor Kalu to his country home Igbere was a clear testimony that God has repositioned him to spearhead the victory of the party in the entire Southeast parts of the country.

The chapter, in a statement signed by its publicity secretary, Comrade Benedict Godson, which was made available to THE WHISTLER in Umuahia, stated that, “Our leader makes a triumphant entry into Abia as the journey towards reclaiming our state begins in our part of the world. After the much-failed efforts made to curse a man whom God has already blessed, that man is coming in to take his rightful place as our leader. He’s the APC leader in the Southeast of Nigeria. He’s Abia State political leader no matter the party you belong, and he’s the man whom everybody gives the respect as Abia original leader.”
