Fraudsters Conducting Fake Recruitment Using Our Name– NIRSAL MFB

NIRSAL Microfinance Bank Limited has raised the alarm that some people are using the name of the bank to conduct fake recruitment exercise.

The lender alleged that the fraudsters are offering letters of employment to unsuspecting Nigerians in exchange for money.

NIRSAL MFB in a statement on Monday denied any involvement in the recruitment, describing it as unacceptable.

The company was licensed by the CBN and was incorporated as a Private Limited Company in 2019 to complement the efforts of the CBN towards financing Nigerians at the bottom of the pyramid as well as deepening financial inclusion.

The lender said, “It has come to the attention of the Management of NIRSAL Microfinance Bank Limited that some suspected fraudsters have been issuing spurious letters of employment to unsuspecting members of the public in exchange for pecuniary benefits.

“This is to warn the general public to cease and desist from issuing any financial or non-financial consideration to any person(s) whatsoever, in exchange for purported employment with the Bank.

“Please be informed that NIRSAL Microfinance Bank Limited would never request for payment of any fees, commission or other financial commitment by whatsoever description from prospective employees.

“The Bank’s employment process is open, transparent and in accordance with recognized best industry practices.”

THE WHISTLER gathered from one of the websites, ‘myeduproject,’ peddling the alleged ‘fake recruitment’ as posted August 16 had claimed that the bank was building 153 additional branches.

It said, “Massive Recruitment at NIRSAL National Microfinance Bank (NNMFB)-Apply Here: NIRSAL National Microfinance Bank (NNMFB) is building 153 branches across Nigeria; this will be completed by 2021.

“All the 774 Local Government Areas may have a branch each when the bank is fully operational by 2025.”

It also claimed that entry level staff would be paid N247,000.
