Breaking: Gunmen Kidnap Ondo ADC Chairman, Four Others

Armed men, on Wednesday evening, kidnapped the Chairman of African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ondo State, Mr Bisi Ogungbemi.

Ogungbemi was allegedly kidnapped alongside four other persons in the state.

This was confirmed by the Publicity Secretary of the party in the state, Mr Idowu Akinrinlola.

He said Ogungbemi, his special assistant, his driver, one Jide Ipinsagba and an ADC chieftain, Princess Abdulkareem were kidnapped along the Oba-Akoko/Owo Road, while they were travelling from Ikare-Akoko to Akure, the state capital.

Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Mr Femi Joseph, said police detectives were sent to the scene only to discover an empty vehicle on the roadside.

Details of their whereabouts were yet to be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
