Buhari noted that Idowu’s shining virtues as a great mother, wife and motivator, would live after her.

As part of ways to commiserate with the family, Buhari dispatched a federal government delegation, led by Malam Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff, to condole with the Awolowo family at Ikenne, Ogun State.

Kyari was accompanied by the Secretary to Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, the Chief of Defence Staff, Lt. Gen. Abayomi Olanishakin and the Chief of Defence Intelligence, Ambassador Oke.

The statement noted that the delegation extended his (Buhari’s) condolences to “the family, the government and people of Ogun state over the death of Mrs. Awolowo.”
