I’m Not Aware Of Warrant To Arrest Me Over Nnamdi Kanu’s Escape – Abaribe

The Federal High Court in Abuja has reportedly okayed the arrest of Senator Eyinnaya Abaribe, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, amongst others, for allegedly aiding the escape of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, from the country.

Justice John Tsoho, who reportedly ruled in a suit seeking to prosecute those allegedly involved in the IPOB leader’s escape, gave the Department of State Services and the Police the go-ahead to arrest and prosecution of Abaribe and Fani-Kayode, as well as one Tochukwu Uchendu, and Emmanuel Shallom Ben.

But when THE WHISTLER contacted Senator Abaribe’s media aide, Uche Awom, to speak on the alleged arrest arrant, the aide denied knowledge of the court ruling.

“We are not aware of any court hearing or ruling held on Nnamdi Kanu’s matter today,” said Mr Uche.

“At least if there is going to be court hearing, both parties involved in the matter would have been informed but we are not aware of the ruling,” he said.

Meanwhile, according to Daily Post, Justice Tsoho delivered the judgement in a suit by Isiah Ayagu which is seeking an order of mandamus to compel the police and the DSS to arrest and prosecute the said persons.
