IMO: Truck Crushes Driver To Death After Crashing Into Ditch On Reconstruction Site
Tragedy struck on Friday in Owerri, Imo State capital, as a truck driver was crushed to death by his own truck as he sped along a section of Port Harcourt Road undergoing reconstruction.
The driver, who was said to be unaware of a deep hole dug across the road (since there was no caution sign on the road) by a construction company handling the road, ran into the ditch.

The impact threw the driver out to the ground after shattering the windscreen of the truck.
The truck crushed him to death in the process.
The accident happened at a section of the road under reconstruction and eyewitnesses lamented that the contractors handling the project have exposed road users to danger.

They urged contractors to always put caution signs wherever they are working.
