INEC Declares Ogun East Senatorial Election Inconclusive

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has declared the Ogun East Senatorial District election inconclusive.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Chris Nwoka made the declaration following the chaos that broke out in the hall as he was about to declare the winner of the election.

The APC senatorial candidate, Senator Mustapha Olalekan had a total of 84,929 votes, while the PDP Sosanwo Ayoola polled 82,457 votes.
