THE WHISTLER was informed of her death by her eldest son, Sergeant Stephen Turaki Ahmadu, a military personnel, via phone call on Thursday.

Stephen said since the news of Hajara’s abduction in 2013, the mother’s health had deteriorated after she developed high blood pressure, among other ailments.

“Yes, she was sick, all this kind of things, from one sickness to another, High Blood Pressure, this, that, complaining and since the issue of my sister, she couldn’t get herself,” Stephen said.

Hajara was a Junior Secondary School (JSS3) student of Government Secondary School, Kurumi Dangara in Kagarko Government Area of Kaduna State, in 2013 when she was abducted by a man who took her to Lagos.

THE WHISTLER had reported that Hajara was allegedly kidnapped and whisked away to an unknown location in Lagos State at age 15 by one Kinsley Esuwa.

The suspect had reportedly married her without consents from her family, and in 2014, the news of Hajara’s death was brought to her family by a relative of the suspect.

Hajara was said to have died from complications during childbirth.
The case was reported to the police in Kaduna and the abductor reportedly submitted medical reports showing why She died.

But Hajara’s family disputed the claims because the abductor failed to produce the corpse of their daughter.

Also, they alleged that the police did not carry out any investigation to verify the authenticity of the abductor’s reports.

All efforts made by THE WHISTLER to get all parties involved to speak on the matter, including the Kaduna State Police, proved abortive as they dodged all enquiries from our correspondent.

THE WHISTLER’s investigation however, showed that the case was dismissed and discharged by the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP), Kaduna State Ministry of Justice due to lack of evidence.
