Kano Police Arrest Woman-Led Kidnapping Syndicate

Operatives of the Kano State Police Command have arrested a gang of Kidnappers led by a 23-year-old woman, Maryam Mohammed.

The arrest was sequel to a successful rescue of a victim abducted by the four-member syndicate.

The state police spokesperson, DSP Abdullahi Haruna, revealed that the leader of the group, Maryam Mohammed, aged 23, had previously operated in Zamfara State before her arrest on Wednesday.

The police said other members of the criminal gang include Sani Ibrahim, 35 and Shamsuddeen Suleiman, 21– both of Butsa Village, Gusau Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The last member of gang is Ishaq Khalil, 32, of Rijiyar Lemo Quarters, Fagge LGA of Kano State.
