Lagos Counts Losses As NPA Headquarters, BRT Station Set Ablaze

Nigeria’s economic hub, Lagos is counting it’s losses as a result of the ongoing #EndSARS protest as the Nigerian Port Authority headquarters building Apapa Lagos has been set ablaze.

The Oyingbo BRT bus station was also set ablaze by angry mobs following the ongoing #EndSARS protest which had led to the killing of innocent protesters at Lekki on Tuesday.

Other government assets have been on attack as a result of the killings.

The government has lost billions to the protest from tolls and the destruction of state assets.

Businesses have also been affected following the event that led to a statewide curfew.

The state has been estimated to have lost over N266m on tolls from Lekki-Ikoyi Link and Admiralty Circle Plaza at the Lekki-Epe Expressway.

The State expects the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge to generate a minimum of N10m daily, while the Admiralty Circle Plaza at the Lekki-Epe Expressway is also projected to generate a daily minimum of N16.6m.

The protest has lasted on the points since October 12, leading to huge revenue loss for the state government.
