Lagos Reopens Secretariat, Govt Establishments Monday

Lagos State Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola,  has said that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved  that all offices in the State Secretariat, Alausa, as well as other government establishments statewide, be opened for activities with effect from Monday, 4th May 2020.

He said the directive followed President Muhammadu Buhari’s gradual easing of the lockdown.

This was tweeted by the Lagos State Government.

According to the circular,   officials on Grade Level 12 and below must continue working from home, unless otherwise directed by their accounting officers, with  the exception of frontline responders and other essential health workers, irrespective of grade, as well as law enforcement agencies.

The HoS also urged the accounting pfficers to identify essential staff amongst workers on Grade 13 and below, in line with physical distancing guidelines.

Furthermore, Muri-Okunola, said that sanitisers, as well as washable and reusable face masks, must be given to officers who must wear them in the office and all public spaces while hand gloves and protective gears should be provided for cleaners.

He also added that all offices in the state must comply with the public health advisory on covid-19.

The government  urged public servants to comply with the 8am to 6 pm curfew directive declared by the President.
