Like Rivers, APC Will Not Take Part in 2019 Elections in Zamfara, Appeal Court Rules
A Federal High Court in Abuja has approved the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejection of the candidates from the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The court, in a judgment on Friday by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, said the electoral body acted within its powers by refusing to accept the list of candidates from the State APC.

Justice Ojukwu said it was not the fault of INEC that the APC failed to conduct a valid primary within the period scheduled by INEC.
Recall that INEC had also barred the APC from fielding any candidate in Rivers State in the 2019 general elections.
The Supreme Court is expected to deliver a judgement today, Friday, to determine the fate of candidates of the ruling party in the coming elections in Rivers.
