More Troubles For Dogara As Photos Of Speaker’s Guest House Surface Online Amid Budget Padding Scandal
Alleged photographs of Yakubu Dogara’s guest house have surfaced online, on Sunday, amid allegations of budget padding by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The property which is located at Vistula Close, along Panama Crescent, in Maitama Abuja, was allegedly furnished with looted funds meant for legislative duties by Dogara, a national newspaper reported.
Reports earlier alleged that ex-appropriation chairman, Abdulmumin Jibrin, was behind the leaked photographs, but Jibrin however dismissed the allegations saying, “I don’t have a hand in the release of those photographs, I’m dealing with serious issues and not about guest houses.”

Meanwhile Jibrin in a separate report said, “Mr. Speaker and Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun diverted millions of naira all in the name of paying for guest houses and official residence. The issue became so messy that the Deputy Speaker openly accused Hon Herma Hembe of short changing them of millions of naira in the deal to the shock of many honourable members.”
