Anthony Elujoba, a former Vice-Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, has reportedly been remanded by an Osun State High Court over alleged diversion of N1.4 billion and abuse of office.

Elujoba, alongside OAU’s bursar, Josephine Akeredolu are facing seven-count charge of criminal related offences, Premium Times reports.

The duo, who both denied any wrongdoing, had earlier been arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, over the alleged fraud.

Elujoba and Akeredolu both appeared in handcuffs on Friday before Justice David Oladimeji of the said court.

They are said to currently be in custody of the EFCC.
