NBC Settles With Daar Communications, Lifts Suspension

The National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) has lifted the suspension placed on Daar Communications, owner of AIT and Ray Power. 

This development was disclosed on Friday by the Director General of the commission, Malam Isaq Modibbo Kawu.

The NBC had suspended the operations of the company over allegations of a breach of the 2004 broadcasting code.

Following this action, the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered NBC to restore the license of the organisation.

However, on Friday the NBC DG said the commission has decided to raise the suspension on Daar Communications as the two parties reached an agreement after fulfilment of some conditions by the communication company.
