NCDC Activates One Additional Testing Laboratory In Kano

The Nigerian Centre For Disease Control(NCDC) has activated one more Coronavirus testing laboratory.

The new laboratory is located at Bayero University Kano.

The new addition makes the total laboratories in the country 18, and the second in the state.

According to the NCDC, the new activation would help in scaling up COVID19 testing capacity in Nigeria, as outlined in the national testing strategy.

Meanwhile, as of 29 April, a total of 13,689 samples have been tested while total number of confirmed cases is 1728.
