Nigeria: What The Church Says Will Happen In 2019
Church leaders and prominent pastors across Nigeria have continued to reel out revelations from God, also known as prophesies, for Nigeria and the world at large in 2019.
The release of these prophetic utterances which is done at the end of the year, or on the first few days of the New Year, is usually anticipated by religious faithfuls in the country as these prophesies tell if the new year will be prosperous or inauspicious.
THE WHISTLER, in an analysis of the 2019 prophecies, notes that unlike previous years, the prophets all seem to agree that there will be peace in the country.
This is despite the fact that the general elections will hold in the new year, and the battle on who will clinch the presidential seat seem to be two gladiators- incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
The prediction also contradicts the report of the United States Institute of Peace (USIP) which said that eight states would be hit by violence during the 2019 general elections.
According to USIP, “states such as Adamawa, Anambra, Ekiti, Kaduna, Kano, Lagos, Plateau, and Rivers are of greater risks of election violence.”
Most of the prophets, however, avoided making prediction about who will win the 2019 election.
