Nigeria Will Evacuate 1000 Returnees Weekly – Geoffrey Onyeama
Nigeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, says about 1000 Nigerians would be evacuated from abroad into the country on a weekly basis,going forward.
He made the disclosure at the Presidential Task Force briefing on Monday.

According to Onyeama, the development was due to the new protocol that has been established.
Recall that the PFT had issued a new protocol for evacuation, which included tests both at the host country and the home country, among others.
The minister further assured that all Nigerians overseas who had indicated interest to return to the country would be brought back home in a matter of weeks.
He noted that the decision was a good development for families and loved ones.

He lauded the Dangote Group for spearheading the new protocol alongside others.
