Nigerian Navy Photographer Bags Golden Fox Award In India 

A Nigerian Navy photographer, Usman Dauda Abdulkareem, who is attached to the Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS), Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas, emerged as one of the winners of the Golden Fox Awards of the 2019 Calcutta International Film Festival in India.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed recently by Commodore Suleman Dahun.

According to the statement, “POJNL Abdulkareem picked the award following his submission, a movie script titled “Grand Father’s Address”, which was adjudged winner of the feature script category.

“POJNL Abdulkareem is a prolific writer who has authored 2 books “Diary of a Peasant Child” and “African Cowboy,” the statement said.

In his remarks, Usman Dauda Abdulkareem thanked the CNS, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas and the Navy for the privilege of service as well as the opportunity to showcase his potentials.

CICFF is an Internet Movie Database (IMDb Award) Listing Qualifier and an official member of the Film Society of Lincoln Center, in New York that “explore the cinema with no border and  encourages risk taking independent filmmakers.”
