Nollywood Actor Karibi Fubara Dies 19 Months After Surviving Kidney Surgery

Nollywood Actor and Producer Karibi Fubara is dead.

Fubara’s death came exactly nineteen months after he survived a surgery on his kidney.

In April last year, the Nollywood Actor was diagnosed of a large mid-stage kidney tumor/cancer.

A family member, who confirmed Fubara’s death to THE WHISTLER on Wednesday said he died on Tuesday December 14.

The deceased was known for his roles in movies such as ‘We Speak Dance (2018)’, ‘Ratnik (2020)’ and ‘God Calling’

The late Actor had in May last year made a post on his Instagram page @chiefblack where he thanked God for sparing his life after undergoing a surgery which he described as successful.

He had said, “So it’s been a month of tremendous revelation and rebirths in my life as I was told around Easter (2020) that I had a large mid-stage kidney tumor/cancer, and on May 3rd (2020), I had a very successful surgery remove about 90 per cent of the tumor. I am now home resting, reborn, and learning to live again.

“I am beyond grateful to my amazing family and lifelong friends, that stepped up to relentlessly wage the spiritual and physical battles needed to support me through this.”
