A fire-brand politician and social crusader, Comrade S. Takema, has issued a 14-day grace to Governor Samuel Ortom to clear Benue workers’ 7-month salaries as promised or face declaration as an unrepentant liar and a traitor.

Takema has been reminding Ortom about his promise to clear salary arrears of Benue workers before December, 2016.

Addressing journalists in Gboko on Friday, Takema regretted that for close to two years of “change” in Benue, the people seems to have left the frying-pan into the fire as a result of complete sheer ineptitude of the Ortom administration.

“If there is any positive change in Benue under my friend, it can only be found in the editorials of Radio Benue, The Voice and Oracle newspapers who have done a profound psychedelic metamorphosis from PDP phobia to APC philia.

“It is quite shocking that the tears Ortom shed at different fora over the plight of Benue civil servants during campaigns were crocodile tears. If the civil servants were stung by scorpions in the last four months of Gabriel Suswam, they are now being bitten by vipers. And this is within two year of an administration of the “Saints” that promised to rule with the fear of God.”

He further stated that “while the government cries that there is no money, aides and appointees of the Ortom administration are buying Gboko, Makurdi and Abuja in such a supersonic speed that they have in less than one year, surpassed the eight (8) years of former Governor Gabriel Suswam in office.”

Takema called on the EFCC and ICPC act to fast on checking the speed of financial recklessness under Ortom before the state is finally milked dry.

“If at all he (Ortom) has sensibilities that gubernatorial pronouncements are not lip-service. Can he pay the helpless Benue civil servants he grisly promised them before December 2016? Even after collecting N26billion bailout fund and another N91billion in August 2016 as proceeds of the late governor Aku’s investment in the Paris & London Clubs?”
