Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole, has ordered the arrest of his Senior Special Assistant on Media, Mr Curtis Ugbo for allegedly posting an anti-government statement on Facebook.

Ugbo, after a ground-breaking ceremony of the Okpella Cement Factory, in a post on Facebook, said that the governor didn’t involve the state’s stakeholders, House of Assembly members or National Assembly members in the project.

It was learnt that Ugbo is a strong supporter of Deputy Governor Dr Pius Odubu’s governorship aspiration.

It was also learnt that Ugbo was picked up by a team of security operatives who stormed his house in two Hilux vans.

The security officials allegedly broke the doors and window of his apartment, forcefully whisking him away without any warrant of arrest.

The governor, who perceived the statement as an attempt to rubbish his person had ordered the security officials to immediately arrest him.
