Osinbajo Signs 2017 Budget 3pm Today

Acting President, Yemi Oinbajo will sign the 2017 budget into law by 3pm today, Monday 12 June, 2017, Special Adviser to the Senate President, Bukola Saraki on New Media, Bamikole Omisore, says.

Mr. Omisore who made this known via his official Twitter handle, @MrBanksOmisore, on Monday, added that his Principal, Bukola Saraki will join the Acting President at the signing.

The Senate had in May transmitted the 2017 Appropriation Bill, with budget estimates totalling 7.441trillion to the Presidency for assent.

President Buhari in December 2016 presented a budget proposal of N7.298 trillion for the 2017 fiscal year before a joint session of the National Assembly.

Buhari proposed that the implementation of the Budget will be based on the economic recovery and growth strategy.
