Police Arraign Kidnap Kingpin, Wadume For Terrorism, Murder

The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) has arraigned alleged notorious kidnap kingpin, Bala Hamisu, popularly called, Wadume, and 18 other suspects.

The police force disclosed the development on Monday, stating that the suspects were arraigned for alleged terrorism, murder, kidnapping and illegal possession of arms.

Wadume and other notorious kidnap suspects were arraigned in the Federal High Court, Abuja, before Justice Binta Nyako.

The suspects who are facing a 16-count charge, arrived the court amidst tight security by the police intelligence response team.

Recall that Wadume had on August 6, 2019, escaped while he was being taken to the police headquarters in Taraba State. He was rearrested in Kano by the police on August 19, 2020.
