Police Arrest Second Most Wanted Kidnapper In Abuja After Wike’s N20m Bounty

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has arrested the second most wanted kidnapper, Samaila Wakili following a bounty of N20m placed on him.

Recall that the Minister of the FCT, Nyesom Wike placed a bounty on two wanted kidnap, one of which was arrested two days after the pronouncement.

The suspect, popularly known as Habu Ibrahim was arrested after operatives of the FCT Command stormed Sardauna Forest in Toto, Nasarawa State, on February 24.

The statement, signed by the FCT Spokesperson, Josephine Adeh on Tuesday said the suspect confessed to executing many kidnappings in the FCT and its environs.

Ibrahim also confessed to kidnapping Barr. Chris Agidy, the legal aid to Senator. Ned Nwoko and Mr Sunday Zakwai, the district head of Ketti Village, who were later killed.

“Samaila Wakili further led police operatives to where the remains of Barr. Chris Agidy is. The remains were recovered and deposited in Gwagwalada General Hospital.

“While investigation is still ongoing, the Commissioner of Police FCT, CP Benneth C. Igweh, psc, mni, wishes to reiterate his unflinching commitment to combat crime and criminality in all its manifestations and to ensure safety of residents.
