Police Rescue Kidnap Victims In Kaduna

The Nigeria Police in Kaduna state says it has killed a member of a kidnap group who abducted three persons at Daku village, Giwa Local Government Council on Wednesday.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state, Sunday Onah, disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday.

The police also said that while two of their victims (Dauda Sani and his brother) were rescued, the kidnappers killed one of them.

Onah said that when the police got to know about the incident, it deployed officers to the scene who dealt a heavy blow to the kidnappers, killing one while the rest escaped into the bush.

He said the rescued victims were undergoing treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

The police recovered from the bandits two AK 47 rifles, 34 rounds of live ammunition, three techno phones, rechargeable mp3 torch light, charm jacket and N268,000, he added.

Furthermore, the Kaduna State commissioner for internal security and home affairs, Samuel Aruwan, lauded the police for their gallantry in the face of criminality.

He also urged residents to promptly inform the police about any security threat, adding that the police would secure the state from criminal minds.
