See Official List Of 9th Senate Principal Officers

The Senate President, Ahmed Lawan, on Tuesday, announced the principal officers for the ninth Senate.

The names of the principal officers were contained in separate letters from the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) at plenary on Tuesday.

According to the letters, the new principal officers for majority and minority positions were unanimously nominated.

Yahaya Abdullahi (APC, Kebbi) – Senate Leader

Ajayi Borrofice (APC, Ondo) – Senate Deputy Leader.

Former Governor of Abia State, Orji Uzor Kalu – Chief Whip

Aliyu Abdullahi (APC, Niger) – Deputy Chief Whip.

Enyinnaya Abaribe (Abia Central) – Minority Leader

Emmanuel Bwacha (PDP, Taraba) – Deputy Minority Leader.

FCT senator, Philip Aduda – Minority Whip

Sahabi Yau (PDP, Zamfara) – Deputy Minority Whip.
